“You should get on the next plane you can and head to Myanmar or North Korea — maybe Angola,” Rogers told BBC Radio 4 reporter Simon Jacks on Tuesday.
In those Asian countries in particular, “there are extraordinary things happening — positive things happening,” he says.

Jim Rogers Betting On Myanmar Despite Ethnic Violence
Jim Rogers : “We in the U.S. had numerous problems as we were rising toward
becoming the greatest success of the 20th century: civil war, many
Depressions in the 19th century, few human rights, little rule of law,
collapse of 1907, etc, etc.,” .
“Yet we went on to great success,” he wrote in an email interview. “…I am very optimistic on Myanmar, but expect and welcome the various corrections which will come. There will be more.”

Jim Rogers Interested in West Africa & bullish on Myanmar, Russia
Jim Rogers Interested in West Africa & bullish on Myanmar, Russia
JIM ROGERS BULLISH ON MYANMAR, RUSSIA
ANCHOR, OFF-CAM, (ENGLISH) SAYING:
Last time you were here, we spoke a bit about Myanmar. You're bullish on that country. How are you playing it?
JIM ROGERS, CHAIRMAN, ROGERS HOLDINGS (ENGLISH) SAYING:
There's one company that is listed in Singapore that I own and I've owned for a long time. But I don't know any other way yet. There is no stock exchange. They're going to open one in 2015 they say. But that's the only way I know to play Myanmar.
ANCHOR, OFF-CAM, (ENGLISH) SAYING:
And Russia? Last time you were here, you're also bullish on Russia.
JIM ROGERS, CHAIRMAN, ROGERS HOLDINGS (ENGLISH) SAYING:
I'm looking for ways. I've owned- I have a few small investments in Russia. I'm trying to find stocks or bonds but I don't want to buy the mainstream. I want to buy the different things. Maybe I'm being too- and I might buy the currency. I might buy the Ruble.
ANCHOR, OFF-CAM, (ENGLISH) SAYING:
Now Reuters is speaking to the President of Liberia. Does West Africa interest you? And if so, how would you play those types of markets, frontier markets in Africa?
JIM ROGERS, CHAIRMAN, ROGERS HOLDINGS (ENGLISH) SAYING:
Africa is extremely interesting to me. And most of them have stock markets. Ghana has a stock market, Ivory Coast has a stock market, Nigeria- there are stock markets you can play. I don't have investments in West Africa at the moment but I have had in the past. There are certainly plenty of ways to play it.
ANCHOR, OFF-CAM, (ENGLISH) SAYING:
You love gold. You're known as the Commodities King.
JIM ROGERS, CHAIRMAN, ROGERS HOLDINGS (ENGLISH) SAYING:
Yeah, I own gold. I'm not buying gold. I wouldn't buy gold now. I'm waiting for gold- I don't- in my view, the gold bottom, whatever the bottom is, hasn't been made yet. The final bottom- and I probably won't get it right. But if and when, I hope I buy more gold.
ANCHOR, OFF-CAM, (ENGLISH) SAYING:
And when, when would you buy more?
JIM ROGERS, CHAIRMAN, ROGERS HOLDINGS (ENGLISH) SAYING:
Tell me when the bottom ...

Jim Rogers : Myanmar an astonishing opportunity
Jim Rogers : " Myanmar is an astonishing opportunity 50 years ago it was the richest country in asia now it is the poorest because they closed up , but they are just now opening up just like china did 30 , 34 years ago , I find it widely exciting the problem with this is that for Americans it is illegal to invest there we live in the land of the free Melissa so we cannot invest where we want to , the rest of the world is pouring in there , so there is nothing I can do right now except wait and watch and hope that, the day they say you can invest, that I can jump in" says Jim Rogers

Jim Rogers : Time to Invest in Myanmar
Jim Rogers : There’s no answer to your question. Most countries I already have some background in my poor brain because I have traveled lot, know a lot about the world. Myanmar started opening up recently. I drove through Myanmar ten years ago, and I have been watching Myanmar for a long time. It took me about eight minutes to figure out it was time to invest in Myanmar. But that eight minutes was based on lots of previous experience with that country and other countries. It was like back in college when I was asked by other classmates how many hours I was going to study for a test. I was perplexed because that’s not the way I do things. I studied until I thought I was ready, or studied all I could. I do things until they are done, or at least as far as I can. - in The Motley Fool

Jim Rogers very bullish on Myanmar and North Korea
Jim Rogers : I am very bullish on Myanmar and North Korea , unfortunately there is not much that Americans can do in North Korea or that I can see we can do , there is going to be a merger before not much longer of north and South Korea in my view and then you gonna have a huge power house on your hand because you'll have a country with may be 75 - 80 million people , lots of natural resources in the north lots of cheap and skilled labor in the north , huge capital and know how in the South , so there will be a huge power house and one reason the Japanese are so against it is because they know they will have a serious competitor on their hands right their on the Chinese border , Myanmar it got about 80 million people huge natural resources disciplined cheap labor force right on the border of china and right on the border of India you could not be much better located than where there are , so those are couple of places , Myanmar is stating a stock exchange in a month or so I am going to see what's happening in there , other than that I do not know of any other markets , I am not buying stocks anywhere
