Jim Rogers Interview on Bloomberg Oct. 21 - 2010
Jim Rogers Inflation is here
Jim Rogers : I do not pay much attention to any governments GDP figures ...first of all it's backward looking second of all they make them up they're always revised later , I know you have to report things on TV , but as an investor I do not pay any attention ....
I do pay attention to things like that because the Chinese have been raising interest rates they know they have an inflation problem ,they know that they have a real estate bubble in urban coastal areas and they're trying to deal with both ...that sort of things I watch , it is good what they are doing I think they can do other things as well , I wish in the United States and in the UK our governments will acknowledge that inflation is here and do something about it but ...you know the rest of that story ...
China has a blocked currency , they have been opening it up more and more in the past 5 years and so in the past year or two but that's part of the problem , they have all that money trapped in China cannot get out and so it got to go somewhere so it's going int the property market , if they open the currency up it will be good for China it will be good for the Chinese it will be good for the world it might prevent the property bubble which is taken place ....etc....

Jim Rogers : Gold has HUGE potential !
Jim Rogers on Bloomberg The Full Interview 5/12/10
Jim Rogers, chairman of Rogers Holdings, talks with Bloomberg's Haslinda Amin about the outlook for global financial markets and his investment strategy. Rogers, speaking in Singapore, said the time may come where "all we can do is to put our money into real assets because paper money everywhere is being debased." Gold traded near a record in Asia after surging to an all-time high yesterday on investor concern that international financial support for indebted European states will depress currencies.
Jim Rogers : I am long the Euro not that I am making any money but I was stunned this means that they have giving up on the Euro they do not particularly care if they have a sound currency , you have all these countries spending money they do not have and it is going to continue so..I have to worry about the Euro ...I worry about all paper money , all paper money but this is just another nail in the coffin ...
The fundamentals are terrible for all paper money , every currency , there are a few I mean the Singapore dollar is the soundest of all philosophically anyway , Canadian (dollar) ...there are some currencies that are reasonably sound but basically all politicians in the world now how to buy votes now and they are doing their best to buy votes that's not good , why you think gold is going to the roof , not going to the roof yet but it is going up , because other people understand what I understand...
...Money has to come from somewhere you either have to print it or borrow it or tax it , in the end people who are putting up the money will say things aren't better for me , and the currency is being debased everywhere...The idea of solving debt and consumption with more debt and more consumption , can you believe that the grown ups would say something like that ?!?! I men it is mind bugling to me that people who are supposedly educated would believe this and they seem to , I think what they really know in their hearts is we just gonna put the problem off until I am gone and then the next guy would have to worry about it , it is not going to help us all says Jim Rogers chairman of rogers Holding ,

Jim Rogers the commodities guru on Bloomberg bullish on sugar and rice
Obama does not know much about economics , he did not know what a stock was 6 or 7 years ago : Jim Rogers Bloomberg 10 Dec 2009
Bush administration did horrible things but this administration is just as bad said Jim Rogers when asked about his opinion about the Obama administration , Jim Rogers the commodities legend and wall street king is as always ultra bullish on commodities especially agricultural ones such as sugar and rice , he is bullish on Asian market and he categorically denies that China might be a bubble , cause the Chinese economy is still too small compared to US and Europe ones , so it is not a bubble as of yet although there might be some decline along the road ...Commodities are the place to be no matter what Jim Rogers explained :
" I will say that if the world economy gets better, then commodities will be one of the best places to be because of the shortages that are developing. If the world economy does not get better, commodities will still be the place to be because governments are printing all this money. "

I am not shorting this Market Jim Rogers

Jim Rogers says he is not selling anything short
In an interview with Bloomberg TV Jim Rogers the legendary investor and commodities guru says that for the first time in his life he is not shorting this market unlike of what he has always done during his professional life as an investor , "I have no shorts right now " says Jim Rogers "for the one of the first time in my life partly because I cannot find anything to a great excess , the American bonds for example are in a great excess but I am not shorting them because the Federal Reserve has more money than I do and they can drive the bonds even higher , but other than that I do not see many things in great excess and I do not to sell short unless I see great excess "
In a similar interview this last June Jim Rogers said They're Printing So Much Money That Stocks Will Go To 30,000
"They're printing so much money that I would not be short. I have no shorts. In most of my life, I've always had a short of 2, or 3, or 16... because I'm afraid they're printing so much money that stocks will go to 20,000 or 30,000. Of course it will be in worthless money, but it could happen," says Rogers. Not surprisingly, he recommends investing in commodities or "hard assets", rather than stocks. Rogers also expressed a preference for silver over gold.
As to whether foreign creditor nations will dare to dump U.S. Treasuries, Rogers responds, "... but they can [simply just] stop buying [U.S. Treasury securities], if nothing else. And I would suspect, that somewhere along the line, somebody, whether it is the South Koreans, or the Chinese, or the Russians, somebody's going to say 'I'm going to start selling mine before everybody else does.' And that's when you have a currency crisis."

China is spending its Reserves in Commodities Farmland and Building Strategic Infrastructures
Jim Rogers, chairman of Rogers Holdings, an early investor on the Chinese market talks with Bloomberg about his investment strategy for China.Rogers said that he first invested in China as far back as 1988 when it was not as popular amongst investors as it is today, "The Chinese have built up huge reserves for rainy days they are the largest creditor nation right now and now they are starting to spend those reserves but they are mainly spending them internally which an important thing to do and it seems they are spending them on strategically important things mainly infrastructure for instance they are rebuilding Sichuan province they are rebuilding the railroad system , they are doing things which will make more competitive coming out of this if the world will ever come out of this and that's the wisest thing to do in contrast of what is happening in America where Mr Obama and Mr Bush where spending the money on projects that won't do any good in the long term so the Chinese are doing good things from what we can gather " Jim add by saying "I am nor buying any stocks in China I have never sold any stocks since 1988 , but I have bought my last share in October November 2008 and I have not bought anything else since , the market have more than doubled in the last 9 months I do not like to jump on a moving train for things like that not at all ,I much prefer to buy when things collapse I am sure there will be collapse somewhere along the line in China .....
Rogers, speaking from Singapore, then discusses China's spending of its reserves, areas of growth in the Chinese economy and consumer savings.
Jim Rogers said he hasn’t purchased Chinese stocks since November “I much prefer to buy when things collapse,”
“Chinese consumers are consuming more,” Jim Rogers said. “To tell them to spend rather than save, the reason the economy has done so well is because they are huge savers and investors.”

Jim Rogers Plans to Short Treasuries and Sell Dollars,

Jim Rogers was today on a telephone interview with Bloomberg , he predicted that the US dollar and US treasury bills will fall due to the enormous American debt which undermines the economy's fundamentals
“The government is printing lots of money and borrowing even more; that’s not the basis for a sound currency,” “The idea that anybody would lend money to the U.S. government for 30 years at 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 percent interest is mind-boggling to me.” Jim Rogers told Bloomberg on the phone from Singapore this morning
