Young People Not Going Into Agriculture

The world has consumed more than it has produced for the last decade which means of course thst inventories are near historic lows. We have low inventories which is bad but even worse than that, we are running out of farmers. The average age of farmers in America is 58, in japan is 66 and no young people are going into agriculture.

  1. I don't know why this is a surprise. What is the incentive?
The government in very farmer-unfriendly, and it takes more than the love of the land and animals to make a living. Too hard work with little reward.
