Jim Rogers : "....I am not buying the Chinese market yet. I have not bought any Chinese share since November of 2008. I would like to buy markets when they are collapsing and the Chinese stock market has been going up or sideways or it fluctuates. So I am not buying Chinese shares .
Again if this causes the Chinese stock market to collapse, then I would certainly have to look at the Chinese. If this causes any stock markets around the world to collapse, I would have to jump in and start looking because whenever you have collapse, it is usually a time to buy. If you are clearheaded and think about the right things to buy in China, yes, if war is going to break out in Korea, then it might well be the time to buy.
If the Koreans go to war, I do not think they will last very long because neither the Americans nor the Chinese nor the Japanese want war and if it really came to it, China, America, Japan, South Korea and Russia could annihilate North Korea pretty quickly. So either way I do not expect it to be a very long war..." Jim Rogers said in a recent interview with ET Now economictimes.indiatimes.com
Jim Rogers started trading the stock market with $600 in 1968.In 1973 he formed the Quantum Fund with the legendary investor George Soros before retiring, a multi millionaire at the age of 37. Rogers and Soros helped steer the fund to a miraculous 4,200% return over the 10 year span of the fund while the S&P 500 returned just 47%.
