Sixty years after Mao Zedong's communist forces seized power, China has transformed from an economic backwater into an economic superpower.

In a third and final part of a special series retracing the Long March - a crucial episode in the communist ascent to power - Al Jazeera visits Shaanxi province, where the march came to and end.
