Lee Kuan Yew and Singapore by Jim Rogers




Investor Jim Rogers, who is based in Singapore, talked about Singapore under late Lee Kuan Yew on BBC Radio 4. "It's an extraordinarily efficient country... the place was a swamp 50 years ago," he says. Is it still as authoritarian as it was? "You can buy chewing gum now. Nobody spits it on the sidewalk but there is discipline." He says a low birth rate is a challenge for the country today.Lee Kuan Yew who is considered the founding father of Singapore passed away yesterday March 23, 2015
